Mike Klianis is a new hair salon, in the heart of Amsterdam.
Its owner is a very creative and open minded individual, a top stylist with a lot of years of experience, and with great aesthetic and fresh ideas.
In the middle of the Covid pandemic, he decided to open his own space and start building his own unique brand.

Build a brand on the talent
Mike has been a beloved hair specialist and a well-known underground artist for more than 12 years, in Amsterdam.
When he decided to open his studio he already had established a name in the local market, as one of the most talented and open-minded stylists.
His studio is open to everyone, regarding their ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation, and is LGBTQI+ friendly.

The tattoo and the logo
Before starting to research and designing for Mike, I took the chance to visit his salon and experience his services myself.
Mike is an active member of the LGBTQI+ and you can easily know it by looking at a big tattoo that has on his left arm, the 7 circles of the community.
Whoever has sat in his chair, has seen this very beautiful and colorful tattoo.
This is Mike’s strong statement and identity, so I put it in his logo since he is the main and only talent of this brand.
